Description
POEZ is the only SEZ in Russia that has access to the infrastructure of the international airport and aviation infrastructure on its territory. Currently, the Ulyanovsk SEZ is the only special economic zone of the port type, which borders the territory of the Ulyanovsk—Vostochny International Airport . The territory of the SEZ is adjacent to the airport, connected to the aviation apron by a taxiway, and there is also a railway and a highway with access to the federal highway nearby. The following types of activities are developing in Ulyanovsk Poetry: production, maintenance, repair and modernization of aviation equipment; logistics, warehousing, wholesale; mechanical engineering; simple assembly and other operations. Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are a large-scale federal project aimed at developing regions by attracting direct Russian and foreign investments in high-tech sectors of the economy, import-substituting industries, and tourism. To attract investments in the territories of the SEZ, preferences are provided, which together reduce the costs of investors by up to 30%. Residents (participants) of the SEZ are provided with significant tax benefits, and full administrative support is provided by authorities at all levels. Land plots are leased at a low rate, and after the implementation of the project by the investor, they are transferred to ownership at cadastral value. The construction of infrastructure and payment for connection to the networks is carried out at the expense of the federal and regional budgets. The territories of the SEZ (with the exception of tourist ones) are free customs zones, which makes it possible to import foreign goods into their territory without paying duties and VAT. Ulyanovsk is located in the center of the European part of Russia at a distance of 850 east of Moscow. The SEZ is adjacent to the Ulyanovsk-Vostochny International Airport, which accepts all types of aircraft, without weight restrictions. The railway runs along the border of the SEZ. The nearest railway station is Upper Terrace, 16 km away. The federal highway is 7 km away. The nearest regional road is 0.5 km away. Ulyanovsk is located on the banks of the Volga River. Cargo from the Black and Baltic Seas can be delivered to the city through a system of rivers and canals. The distance from the SEZ to the nearest river cargo port is 21 km.
